Today i would like to introduce you to a friend of mine who as a shop on Etsy , she is an “old “ seller and has advices for those of you who are thinking of opening virtual store . I will add more after her ! Yes i do have a lot of ideas ! and advices !

So You Want To Be an Online Seller! or maybe you already are. 

One way or another I have been selling secondhand for over 15 years. Online selling has good points and bad. Great that I don't have to get all dressed up for work, housecoat and slippers work just fine. I can walk to the office and no one yells at me after the 3rd trip to the coffee pot but it can be a lonely business. So it's good to know that there are others out there that feel just as you do, that some days we all feel like we are alone sitting at our computer, tearing our hair out trying to figure out what treasure we have or searching frantically for that just sold item that we can't find. Trust me, we all go through this.

Which leads me to a couple of important points. If you are going to be an on-line seller you must have discipline. You need to keep to a fairly regular schedule of listing every day, that's if you want sales. If you are a hobby seller that just does it for fun or a bit of extra cash, the discipline is probably not quite as important. But, for those of us who do this as our only source of income, that discipline is absolutely necessary. A way to keep track of what we've listed and where it is located is also essential. I joked about looking for that just sold item, but it's no fun if it is you looking over a 2 day period and then can't find it and have to cancel a sale. Sales are hard enough to come by without losing one to a lack of organizational skills.

The other area that discipline is needed is the thrill of the hunt. Now this is why most of us love doing what we do. We get to go shopping!!! But filling our homes up with "treasures" that don't get listed is a huge problem and one that can lose you your husband or wife, your children and your sanity. They have reality TV shows about people like you called "hoarders". So when you get it home, it needs to be researched and listed. If you have items that are languishing in the basement or shed that aren't getting listed then it's time to get rid of them. Have a garage sale, go to the flea market, donate to your church or school rummage sale but get it out of your life before it takes over your life.

On line selling can be great fun and profitable. See you in the thrift shop, but I saw it first!

To add to Lynne’s advice i would say try to focus to sell what you really like and know .. as an example i am madly in love with all porcelain and glass .. i search for tea cups , plates , barware , pitchers and more .. lots of my items if i never sell them i don’t mind to keep them for me ! I know i would have a lot ! Hubby may not agree but yes i could keep those without a problem ..

Another advice please take the time to take great pictures .. No One will buy your goodies if they see nothing and no details ...

HERE IS A LTLLE STORY 

good morning ! I would like today to talk about one of my passion and maybe yours ... Horses ..yes yes horses .. 

I have the joy to have horses in our backyard ! Have you ever wanted to have some ? 

Are you afraid of them ? Did you ever fell down ? that hurts ! ouch !! I did more than one time ! hummm i did count them 14 and a half ! yes yes you saw this right .. the half was part my fault and the ground was so close i chose to fell ! 

At the begining when i wanted horse so bad i did run into this like i do with so many things .. Life is too short to wait and think  before ! I came home a saturday afternoon saying to my hubby i bought a horse and she will be here in 2 weeks .. in the backyard ... Hubby looked at me and said WHAT ? .. well i have to confess we had NOTHING and i mean nothing ready for this .. no fences , no barn , no shelter , no water there .. serious nothing .. and by the way i had no idea what that horse was suppose to eat and the way i should handle this ! 

After 2 weeks that young mare was brought to my place .. And boy did every day i regret this ! A young horse 2 years old and without any knowledge and with a temper ! It was a rodeo just to get her out and inside the barn ! ( hubby did a small one very quickly to make his wife very happy ! ) 

For the fences we chose to do those really fast so we put some electric fence metal wire all around the place we tought they would be ok ( They ? yes i did buy another one 3 weeks after ! ahahha you should have seen my hubby's face ! its worth a million i swear ! ) 

After a month a man took pitty of me and bought back the mare and sold me another one with much more patience and older and so much easier ! i thanked him very much and there we where with 2 horses in the back yard ! 

Even if they where very nice and everything we did encounter some problems ... That electric fence was suppose to stop them to go anywhere else then where they suppose to .. guess what . NO ! trust me those are not solid enough to stop a running horse ! imagine 2 ! we found them early morning eating my flowers , grass and more .. and yes they did "that " to  everywhere .. Boy .. hubby was starting to think i was crazy .. and i won't tell him but so did i ! 

We had to bring them back in the paddock more than a hundred times and my neighbors did start to hate us .. they had the most beautiful field of corn and hay i saw .. and the biggest one .. can you imagine horses running in there and eating ? 

Did you ever wonder how come human are not suppose to touch an electric wire ? Well i can explain .. a numberous of time i forgot that that wire was electric .. I did try to put it back up and the good way after a long rainy day .. in summer time i am often bare foot .. so here i am barefoot in the sand pulling a metal pole and with my other hand reaching for the wire .......................... OH MY ! don't EVER try that BANG it stops your heart and the second hit restart it ! my hair where curling and my arms and legs where absent .. they had left my body .. with good reason .. Hubby was crying because he laugh so much ... i swear i will NEVER touch this again .. ( i did after for some reasons .. i didn't count those i am afraid to think about this ! )

1. Bermondsey (New Caledonian) Market, Long Lane and Bermondsey Street, London

   There is a saying in London that anything stolen and sold before sunrise is legal. With this tradition, Bermondsey Market, one of London’s main antiques markets, attracts early-rising dealers from all over and is a mecca for serious collectors. Each Friday the dealers set up their stalls before dawn. Be there early, for by 9 a.m. most of the best bargains have long gone. The area also has several antique shops that remain open all week. A row of old warehouses on Tower Bridge Road houses the best of these.

1. San Telmo Antiques Fair, Buenos Aires, Argentina

   The frenetic San Telmo Antiques Fair centers on Calle Defensa between Avenue Independecia and Avenue San Juan, with most of the action on Plaza Dorrego. You’ll join throngs of people searching for a deal among the many stalls overflowing with antiques, trinkets, costume jewelry, vintage movie posters, and artwork.
   One of the delights of this market is the fact that the neighborhood of San Telmois world-famous for its tango music, so you’ll come across street bands and dancers performing impromptu numbers. The market, open on Sundays only, begins at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m.

   The Rose Bowl Flea Market, featuring more than 2,500 vendors, is hands downLos Angeles’s largest secondhand marketplace.
